I'm a cool chick whose randomness wanders all over the page. I think. I dream. I write. This blog is my outlet to tell tales about any damn thing I want. Simplicity is my style. If you think long intellectual words are boring and pretentious, then you will love my blog. You might think my writing is crap, but I guarantee it is authentically me.
Fabulous vintage things... I especially love the old toy and driver -- what an expression on his face! And those clocks -- amazing! What are they called? Cass
Cass, the clocks are faberge' eggs. At least that's what I've always called them.
Pat, I made the photo collages. The old photos are of my dad and his two brothers when they were young and then there's one of my grandfather with his sister and parents when he was just a boy. All of the items are displayed on two side tables in my entryway.
Claudia, I'm not sure where I got the metal toy but I obtained it about 13 years ago. I don't think it's really old.
Claudia, I made the art collage. I used acrylic paints, scrapbook paper, metal tags, and cut-out quotes from a quote book. My first attempt at painting.
These are such lovely items.... Your collage is great. I made one a couple of months ago and painted the background, then distressed it. I'm wanting to be more creative. Thanks for the inspiration!
I wasn't sure if you approve comments or not.... I wasn't looking but didn't see my comment post (after several back tabs and following another link on your site...) So, in a nutshell, I love your mosaic and creativity!
What a LOVELY mosaic of keepsakes and photos! Thanks for your visit to Small Reflections yesterday. After being away from the computer all day, I'm doing what I can to catch up today. Hope you have a wonderful week ;--) Hugs and blessings,
