It's been a lazy day today.

Now that it's close to dinner time, I dread the possibility of having to go to the grocery store.
It's inevitable though because I'm just about out of everything.
I wish I had a bread maker so I could make my own whole wheat bread with oats.
I'd drizzle it with honey and eat it while it's still warm.

Now that would be the perfect treat to round out the comfort of my day.

  1. Mmmmmm, my husband makes lots of home made breads. I love them...which unfortunately is not good for the waistline.

  2. Looks delicious! My post for tomorrow is about comfort foods too.

  3. I had a lunch date with the sweetheart and we went to Longhorns and there hot wheat breat is my favorite. You are right it is comforting.

  4. We have a bread maker and GMR made some bread last week when we couldn't drive out of our cove to "make grocies at the grocery" as GMR the New Orleans native says! :D

I just ate "granola" pancakes with honey -mmmmmm

  5. Boy I do empathize with this! I can eat a ton of bread in the winter...any type. And like you I hate the food shopping thing and then only go when I absolutely have to.

  6. Perfect comfort food. Check out the thrift stores. They almost always have bread machines that someone has donated.

  7. Bread! You don't need a bread maker to make bread. Just google a recipe for whatever kind of bread you want to make and do it. I love making bread, it is rewarding and relaxing. Try it!
