Comfort

It's been a lazy day today.

Now that it's close to dinner time, I dread the possibility of having to go to the grocery store.
It's inevitable though because I'm just about out of everything.
I wish I had a bread maker so I could make my own whole wheat bread with oats.
I'd drizzle it with honey and eat it while it's still warm.

Now that would be the perfect treat to round out the comfort of my day.

  1. Mmmmmm, my husband makes lots of home made breads. I love them...which unfortunately is not good for the waistline.

  5. Boy I do empathize with this! I can eat a ton of bread in the winter...any type. And like you I hate the food shopping thing and then only go when I absolutely have to.

  6. Perfect comfort food. Check out the thrift stores. They almost always have bread machines that someone has donated.

  7. Bread! You don't need a bread maker to make bread. Just google a recipe for whatever kind of bread you want to make and do it. I love making bread, it is rewarding and relaxing. Try it!
