The other day I was skimming through The Pocket Muse, a cute little book that is meant to inspire you to write, and I came across this excercise that I thought would be fun to post here every week.
I'm looking for others to join in with me every Saturday.
The challenge is to choose ten random letters of the alphabet and write them at the top of a blank page.
I'll use my random letters as an example and as my final sentence.
O K V Q C W M B N A (this is going to be really hard)
Using words that begin with these letters, in the same order, write an opening sentence.
Here is what I came up with. Believe me, it wasn't easy.
Old kinky vixens quibble contankerously while mimicking bloated, neo-catholic asses.
If you'd like to play along with me let me know you stopped by and I'll come and check out your blog to see what you came up with.
The idea is for everyone who participates to use the same random ten letters.
Also, if you have suggestions or different ways we can do this every week, please feel free to express your opinions. I love feedback.
So, go make a sentence with the letters, O K V Q C W M B N A
And don't forget to let everyone know.
Oh this sounds interesting but I am so bad at this type of thing. I'll give it a try and let you know if I have any success. What if I cheat and come up with the sentence an then post the letters? Ha Ha.
ReplyDeleteYou sentence is funny and you have great words.
O K Victoria Queen Can we make brownies next asslemby?
ReplyDeleteThis is funny!
Ok, I did it too. http://thedustycellar.blogspot.com/2009/07/something-new-for-saturdays.html
ReplyDeleteThanks for playing along. Check out Rebecca's entry over at the dusty cellar. Her sentence is quite hilarious. And Noe Noe Girl, your sentence is very good. I think I'll go make some brownies cause that is sounding too good.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for visiting my blog! And for your kind comments. Have an absolutely wonderful Sunday!
