From The Archives~ Final Resting Place

(Click Photo To Enlarge)

I took this photo on my husband's birthday in September

in the small town of Moapa, NV

This is one of my favorite photos and one that I am most proud of.

I like outdoor country themed objects.

To me, this rope on a fence represents the life of a rodeo cowboy.

I like to imagine that after practicing roping in a home arena,

the cowboy tossed his rope onto the fence post

making this its permanent home.

  1. Your photos are getting really professional looking. Soon people will be paying for them! I really like this with the composition, tone and texture all coming together.

  2. You know I am writing a book of poetry and such, 'Cast Iron Skillet' and this would be a good subject for a poem I wrote when my grand mother died...I love your work on here!

Also, thanks for your nice comments on my work...I appreciate that someone comes and reads it...I also have food poetry and other works on two other blogs, ha but I know it is hard to read all, but I try :)

  3. JarieLyn,
This is a great picture, I can see why you like it so much. I'm so glad to be able to enlarge it as well and see the wood chipping on the fence and the color and texture of the rope. You just know that's a working rope and not just a set up for a photo shoot. Great job!

  4. Hey JarieLyn, I would love to send you an invite to my private blog, but I need an email address that you'd like me to send it to. gmail works best, when you log in to blog, you can see my blog right away without a separate login. I don't get any of your login info - just get to send you an invite and see if you accept it.

You should be very proud of this photo - it speaks volumes. I love it!
