JarieLyn, now this was a wholesome sharing of your area; thank you. Your camera lens is huge. Bet you're gaining on some muscle carrying that one around :)
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday.
I could so easily sit in that chair cooling my feet.
ReplyDeleteI love your spots...even the ones you just listed without photographs. I made photographs in my imagination, not as good as your real ones. Nice camera, by the way. Bagman says, "What camera? I didn't notice a camera?"
ReplyDeleteFun stuff here. I never would have thought of a river as having a beach front. I guess there's never a shortage of space. There's always just more river up ahead. :)
ReplyDeleteLake Mead looks lovely and a great place for visitors. fun visiting you!
ReplyDeleteThe photo that really got my attention was the one with the camera. That is one fancy dude setup!
ReplyDeleteLovely post! Lovely places. I had more ideas than time to shoot too.
ReplyDeleteI was stunned by the photo of the Colorado River. I have rafted the rapids through the Grand Canyon on that river. It is much, much different, there. Fantastic post.
ReplyDeleteOh, by the way, now I am embarassed by my little point and shoot Kodak Easy-share. Thanks a lot!
I love the pic of Sasha peeking her head over the sand. :)
ReplyDeleteMy gf lives in Vegas, works at the Venetian - she loves it! Of course, a move from Ohio to about anywhere else in the U.S. is usually infinitely better. I think she has mentioned Lake Las Vegas before -- beautiful photo!
A former P.I., huh? Well, you've certainly lived a unique and different life than most of us, how cool is that... and girl, that is one serious camera lens there!!
Thanks for stopping by my blog, and have a great weekend!
Awesome as usual, but I really think the river is Sasha's favorite place to go. I like the list of your favorite places too.
ReplyDeleteJarielyn - I have lens envy!
ReplyDeleteThe Colorado River spot looks like a great place to hang out!
You live in a place of great natural beauty; after the glitz of the city it must be so refreshing. Your camera (compared to mine) looks kind of intimidating!
ReplyDeleteFantastic post! You live in such a beautiful corner of the country--I love the red rocks and how every little lake and river feels like an exotic oasis in the middle of the desert. It makes you appreciate them more, no?
ReplyDeleteThanks for a great post :)
Love, love, love your pictures and your favorite places. So awesome all of them. What a way to show off your town.
ReplyDeleteHappy Weekend!

ReplyDeleteyou are lucky to have a get away in 2 hours.
ReplyDeleteDon't you go to the Casinoes?
The dog was enjoying on the beach too. The second photo is an example of mountain meets the sea. Are lake Las Vegas and Lake Meas near each other? Beautiful photos. thanks for sharing them.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing your favourite places with us. Even peeking out yourself from behind the camera.
ReplyDeleteAlthough you didn't photograph it, the Psychic Eye Book Store sounds like a place I'd like to visit.
You could have a second career as a tourism promoter for your area! Great photos.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to see Las Vegas from the perspective of someone who lives there. Humanizes it somehow. Thanks for the tour.
ReplyDeleteLove the peaking dog!
ReplyDeleteWow, ok, first I love the one of Sasha peeking up over the hill, second I love to drive too, and third - woah! nice glass you got there!
