The Flame

I love signs, especially older signs that have history.

The Flame is part of the Neon Museum here in Las Vegas.

It was resurrected from the Neon Bone Yard and brought back to life, so to speak.

The original sign was born in 1961 and sat atop the roof of the restaurant which was located on Desert Inn Road.  It became a part of the Neon Museum in May of 1997.

  1. A neon museum...how interesting. I bet you could get some neat photos...if they are permitted.

  2. Very cool little video. I've always loved the Stardust sign. I guess we people from Bakersfield just have signs in our hearts since Buck saved the Bakersfield sign!

  4. Neat. So much of the 1950's time of Vegas has been overcome by the BIG casinos and BIG entertainment and I also miss that part. Glad someone still saves things.
