I Pulled An All Nighter In A Ghost Town

Seriously!
Fortunately, I was not alone in the dark.
Several members from my camera club spent the entire night clicking away at old ruins, stars and meteors.
It was really a lot of fun and I learned so much.  I am ready to go somewhere else and shoot more interesting things in the dark.  You never know what you might capture . In fact, I caught quite a few orbs on several of my photos but I concluded they were not orbs of a ghostly nature, but rather reflections coming off the light that was shining in the distance.

I am so proud of these photos
even though I know now that I can do much better than this.

This is just one of a couple of hundred photos that I took.
This is the old bank building in Rhyolite, NV

It was pitch black outside during the photo shoot.
We painted the building pink by flashing colored light onto it.

One of our members lit some flares and held one in each hand and moved them in a circular motion while running down the street.  We thought it would be fun to see what kind of image we would get.
We all teased him and called him running man.

You can see an orb and ghostly figures above.

The next photo depicts the milky way and another building in ruins.  I'm not sure what the building used to be but I thought it was interesting with the milky way above it.

More orbs in the above photo.  So what do you think?
Is it a reflection from light in the distance or do you think they are balls of energy from the spirit world?

Oh,

Now that I think about it,

I did capture an eery ghostly figure.

See...............

How cool is that?

This is an original artwork at the Goldwell Open Air Museum.

We added some colored glow sticks and photographed it in the dark.

  1. I like the joy you have in learning more about photography. There is a new club starting up here where I live, but I have only heard a rumor or two...so not found out how to join.
