I have showcased this building once before.
Normally, I don't find modern buildings attractive.
There is something about the modern building that lacks intrigue for me.
But I am fascinated by this building under construction.
The architectural design is incredible and different.
I love how it has all these curves in its design.
It's been under construction for over a year now
and I wish I had taken pictures of it in it's earlier stages.
It's been quite interesting to see it evolve.
Pleas click on each photo to see the detail
and to see how enormous this building is.
This is the new building for a brain institute as you can see in the sign by enlarging the photo.
This week's assignment was courtesy of Team Blogger at My Town Shoot Out.
Why don't you mosy on over to the main blog to see a list of fellow participants.
This building is fantastic and the design is so unique! Please take some shots after the full construction. I will wait to see it.
ReplyDeleteWow, JarieLyn. I have never seen this building. At first, I thought you were messing with us...twisting the photo. I clicked to enlarge the first one with the sign in it and found that this will be a Health Center for Brain Disorders.
ReplyDeleteGlad you shared this building with us :)
Oh my gosh!! You get the prize for most unique building for sure. After looking at it to long my brain needs an institute! Amazing.
ReplyDeleteLeft me feeling giddy!!
ReplyDeleteAmazing! And what awesome pictures!
ReplyDeleteGreat job.
<><
Excellent subject. I think I would feel a little nauseated looking at it very long.
ReplyDeleteWowowow that is just wild - what a totally cool building. I don't think I would want a room with an up view - or maybe I would! So very cool!!!! Hugs, Sarah
ReplyDeleteWow!! What a crazy building! Just think what the elevators and stairs inside must have to do. Very interesting.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how functional the new building will be, but it makes for some great photography. And for some great fun!
ReplyDeleteVery, very cool!
ReplyDeleteJarieLyn, now I'm convinced I'm nuts. I once wrote a poem I called Mind Pockets - and your building is very, very close to the image I had in my mind at the time. Weird! Too weird! But I'm so glad to see it in real life! Thank you.
ReplyDeletethat is the strangest building I have ever seen. I would love to get inside of it. You probably don't know if you are coming or going!!
ReplyDeleteI could imagine Jim Carey working as a doctor in a building that looked like this. I wonder how the building looks to a person with a brain disorder? How they ever worked out the inside to create functional rooms is a mystery. Brilliant shoot, JarieLyn! Thank you. =D
ReplyDeleteYou win! You win! What a building. What great shots.
ReplyDeleteYou area of the country is known for its exotic architecture. I would love to go inside that building and see what it is like from the inside out.
ReplyDeleteInteresting building, Jerielyn. So unique! The bue bue sky served as a nice background.
ReplyDeleteWow! It makes my brain feel funny!
ReplyDeleteWHAT!?!!? This is wild! But I REALLY like it!
ReplyDeleteJust amazing. Imagine the blueprints for this baby!!!
That is crazy. It reminds me of the Experience Music Project building in Seattle. It plays with your mind...which is probably the point!
ReplyDeleteUm, well . . . I think I would not want to go to this brain institute. I like my architecture a little more, shall we say, traditional! But it made for an excellent photo for the Shoot Out. Excellent.
ReplyDeletethat is the coolest thing EVER !!
ReplyDeleteThis has got to be the coolest building I have ever seen!! Thank you for sharing it. It looks like it is falling into itself. Perfect for a brain institute as it plays with perception and expectation.
ReplyDeletethis building fascinates me. when you can get inside to see how the world look from the inside out...
ReplyDeleteGirl, you have outdone yourself.
ReplyDeletewonderful job!
While I am thinking of it, that waterfall one you asked about is about an hour away from us, and the love one is a piece of 'art' hanging in my living room.
:)
Loved it just as much as the last time you posted it. Great subject for this weeks shoot out! You go girl!
ReplyDeleteI agree with SOL. Your building is fascinating. It makes me think of Salvador Dali.
ReplyDeletewhat a fabulous building! it does make my brain work looking at it ;)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you shared it again. wow!!! Engineering must be a nightmare
ReplyDeleteWow.. I also thought you were playing with us a bit.. and that you were having fun in Photoshop. I even Googled and found you were plenty serious. :) I suspect that this will be a building seen in many movies and TV shows over the years. And if the inside reflects the outside in any way, it will be an interesting place to visit.. and perhaps a tad scary whether as a patient or not.
ReplyDeletewhat a crazy yet interesting building. I wonder that the INSIDE will look like!!
ReplyDeleteLooks like an earthquake has just struck. Earth quakes are banned words here esp after the one in our neighboring island Samoa.
ReplyDeletegood morning, would you email me please, I would like for you to pick one of your 3 suggestions - gingerv@gigalink.com.br - thanks.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant choice - one of my 'My Town' shoots of the year without a doubt!
