Friday My Town Shoot Oout~ Photo Study of A Building

I have showcased this building once before.

Normally, I don't find modern buildings attractive.

There is something about the modern building that lacks intrigue for me.

But I am fascinated by this building under construction.

The architectural design is incredible and different.

I love how it has all these curves in its design.

It's been under construction for over a year now

and I wish I had taken pictures of it in it's earlier stages.

It's been quite interesting to see it evolve.

Pleas click on each photo to see the detail

and to see how enormous this building is.

This is the new building for a brain institute as you can see in the sign by enlarging the photo.

This week's assignment was courtesy of Team Blogger at My Town Shoot Out.

Why don't you mosy on over to the main blog to see a list of fellow participants.

  2. Wow, JarieLyn. I have never seen this building. At first, I thought you were messing with us...twisting the photo. I clicked to enlarge the first one with the sign in it and found that this will be a Health Center for Brain Disorders.

Glad you shared this building with us :)

  8. JarieLyn, now I'm convinced I'm nuts. I once wrote a poem I called Mind Pockets - and your building is very, very close to the image I had in my mind at the time. Weird! Too weird! But I'm so glad to see it in real life! Thank you.

  10. I could imagine Jim Carey working as a doctor in a building that looked like this. I wonder how the building looks to a person with a brain disorder? How they ever worked out the inside to create functional rooms is a mystery. Brilliant shoot, JarieLyn! Thank you. =D

  16. Um, well . . . I think I would not want to go to this brain institute. I like my architecture a little more, shall we say, traditional! But it made for an excellent photo for the Shoot Out. Excellent.

  20. Girl, you have outdone yourself.

    wonderful job!

While I am thinking of it, that waterfall one you asked about is about an hour away from us, and the love one is a piece of 'art' hanging in my living room.

  25. Wow.. I also thought you were playing with us a bit.. and that you were having fun in Photoshop. I even Googled and found you were plenty serious. :) I suspect that this will be a building seen in many movies and TV shows over the years. And if the inside reflects the outside in any way, it will be an interesting place to visit.. and perhaps a tad scary whether as a patient or not.

  27. Looks like an earthquake has just struck. Earth quakes are banned words here esp after the one in our neighboring island Samoa.
