There is nothing like a road trip to take away the blues.
A friend called me up and asked if I wanted to go for a ride.
Honestly, I really just wanted to stay home and feel sorry for myself and just sleep.
(I've been doing that a lot lately)
But, after thinking about it for about an hour I changed my mind.
Maybe getting out and about would be good for me.
I'm so glad I decided to go with my friend.
We took a drive up to Mt. Charleston and it was snowing.
It was beautiful and somehow, the snowflakes falling down around me cheered me up.
Even in the cold, I felt warm.
It was a nice little get away and just what I needed.
Now, what am I going to do tomorrow to chase those damn blues away?
Go for another drive! it worked the 1st time, it'll work the 2nd... go on vacation for a few days - do whatever it takes to get out of the funk, ya know?!! =) LoL!

I've been feeling a lot like that lately. A good friend is detemined to change that and lines up exciting things for me to do, even if I'm not in the mood. Here's what she dragged me to last night:

Snow, you still have snow?! No wonder you have the blues. Wishing you sunshine tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great time. When those blues come this week just remember the wonderful weekend and the wonderful friends, then make yourself a cup of tea, grab a good book or rent a cheerful movie and give yourself a break from stress and the blues!
ReplyDeleteI am glad you got out.
ReplyDeleteA road trip with a friend is so very good for the soul.
bake a cake, learn a new recipe, start a class, go to the gym - hire a trainer is always best.... want more suggestions just call - getting rid of the blues is my specialty.
