First up is rain, because I love rainy weather.
After the rainfall, night comes and dark clouds hover.
Then there is the fog for which I am terrified driving in.
Fortunately, the fog in the next photo wasn't too bad for driving.
I've driven in much worse fog in Bakersfield, California.
I did have to remind my husband to slow down a little though.
And then there are certain scenes that just make you feel like it's cold outside.
Yes, I'm talking about that fresh snow covered mountain you see in the distance
while driving down the highway.
Mt. Shasta in California
And then after all that cold......
I see the sun shine and capture beautiful sunsets.
And of course, once the sun goes down
The moon comes up.
Taken from inside the truck,
in motion
driving down the highway
near Sacramento, California
There are some towns that have constant wind.
Tehachapi, California
Back at home,
I look out my window to see a wet and rainy neighborhood.
Thanks for weathering this post with me.

Ho, Ho, Ho!
I hope you've been jolly good this year.
Love the rain on the windshield. I didn't realize what that was till I enlarged the pic! And Mt Shasta looks grand.
ReplyDeletegreat post! I think you have covered every kind of weather. your photos are awesome!!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post. Love the diversity between the states :)
ReplyDeleteThat moon shot! Nice.
ReplyDeleteOh - great variety of shots! I love the dark ominous skies and the shot of all the windmills. We don't see windmills in this area much. How in the world did you capture the moon in motion?! Wow, that is impressive.
ReplyDeleteGreat photos as usual Jarie. I am planning on getting back into the Friday Shoot Out after the first of the year.
ReplyDeleteLOL...I think you drove through every kind of weather possible. I have driven in that fog in Bakersfield...holy crap! Thick and scary...I felt like I couldn't breathe when I was driving! Love the photo of Mt. Shasta!
ReplyDeleteWhen you visited Roseburg you were only a little over an hour south of here; looks like you were treated to some regular Oregon weather so it's a good thing you like the rain! I also like the shot of the beautiful foll moon. And those windmills!
ReplyDeleteWOW, that windshield photo was awesome, the storm came alive.
ReplyDeleteWell done, Jarie Lyn. Loved all your shots -- especially the mountain -- just beautiful.
ReplyDeleteImpressive Mt Sasha! I too love rainy days, as long as I'm at home and not caught outside without an umbrella! lol
ReplyDeleteGreat post, Jarie Lyn. You sure did get around in the past few weeks!
ReplyDeleteI like wind farms, but I wonder - wouldn't it be great if they painted the blades in bright colors, like a field of giant flowers? White is so boring.
loved all the photos - great job Missy. I went by up through them several extra time to see if one 'spoke' to me and couldn't pick one. maybe the highway driving into the fog.... hugs from Brasil
ReplyDeleteYou are very talented! I like the picture with the full moon; it was beautiful.
ReplyDeleteI think that is one of the best pictures of a wind farm that I've seen...it really shows the large amount of hardware that is used. Great post overall as well.
ReplyDeleteA great mix of photos and a celebration of the rich diversity of weather we experience.
ReplyDeleteI'm not fond of driving in fog either but it makes for some very interesting photography.
Barry & Linda
I love it, 'thanks for weathering this post with me', all is good around our world...
ReplyDeleteOh how fun was this traveling with you!! Beautiful shots! I don't like driving in the fog either..but is sure makes delicious pictures!! Sarah
ReplyDeleteA great selection, thank you. And I'm amazed at you getting the moon from a moving vehicle - very skillful.
ReplyDeleteWhat great pictures. That moon shot is off the chart GF!
ReplyDelete<><
Wow, a little bit of everything! I miss the weather in CA, and I never thought I'd say it, but I miss the fog. Not the coldness of it, but the damp, big hair and all!
ReplyDeleteGreat assortment. I like that you took a picture of fog and could still see.
ReplyDeleteLove your moon shot! I always try to take pictures of the moon and rarely get a really good one. Yours is wonderful!
ReplyDeleteThese are stunning!!! Well done!
ReplyDeleteWe drove through Tehachapi last summer and got to watch the wind turbines in motion. I know that a lot of people dislike them, but I find them eerily beautiful.
ReplyDeleteWhatta a great journey this post is. Presented from 3 states and I like the way you posted the photos and the sequence of the story.
ReplyDeleteBTW, can I grab the best photo of yours that I like? I will make another special post. Thanks in advance!
That image of the dark clouds in the night sky is amazing! I wouldn't have thought it possible to capture that with the camera.
ReplyDelete(you have travelled and lived all over, haven't you?)
the pics were taken beautifully jarielyn! i simple love them. :)
ReplyDeleteGirl, these are great. I just wish I could have been on that trip with you, looked wonderful!
ReplyDeleteI miss everyone and can't wait to get back to oour gang :)
Wow, those are stunning. Every one!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos! Love that you captured different types of weather! The full moon shot is my favorite.
ReplyDeleteOh Mount Shasta! I grew up in Southern California, and on a clear day (no smog) we could see this magnificent peak...
ReplyDeleteI miss mountain ranges, your shot of the small town nestled in the hills in the evening brings me back to long road trips taken as a kid with my family through Arizona, Nevada and California.
Like some others have commented, I feel like I've been on a road trip with you - and it's been great! Just love that moon shot!!
